About the role:
The Team Leader role is responsible for overseeing the effective and efficient delivery of administrative operations within the Building Services Unit. The role provides leadership to the administration team while ensuring processes, systems and controls support accurate, timely and compliant service delivery.
Working closely with the Head of Building Services and Regional Building Supervisors, this position plays a key role in coordinating administrative and financial functions, supporting operational performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Council's strategic and corporate objectives.
What you'll be doing
- Lead, mentor and motivate the administration team to deliver high quality outcomes.
- Oversee daily admin operations including project setup, purchasing, invoicing and travel.
- Streamline processes and improve systems for efficiency and accuracy.
- Support budgeting, financial tracking, reporting and cost control.
- Monitor KPIs and contribute to team planning and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance service delivery.
