About the role
Do you love working with community, culture, and creativity? We're seeking an enthusiastic IKC Coordinator to lead and grow our Indigenous Knowledge Centre as a welcoming hub for learning, literacy, and cultural preservation.
You will deliver engaging programs, support members, preserve local knowledge, and manage the day-to-day operations of the IKC (20 hours per week). Working closely with the Manager Health and Wellbeing/IKC, you will ensure services reflect community priorities and interests.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver community programs, including First 5 Forever (0-5 years literacy).
Promote IKC services and increase membership and participation.
Support digitisation of local photographs and historical materials.
Improve access for Elders, young people, and carers through outreach initiatives.
Manage lending, administration, and weekly reporting.

. The ideal candidate will have:
- Mandatory Requirement: A current - Working With Children Card (Blue Card) or the ability to obtain is essential before commencement. No Card. No Start
- Ability to maintain schedules, deliver scheduled programs and monitor their progress.
- Proven capability to create and support productive working relationships within the community that enhances the delivery of the project.
- Active listening skills that show you listen to community needs and can present these to management for implementation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams).
