Beyond traditional local government services, we are deeply invested in the social, environmental, and economic development of our region. We are values driven and work as One with respect for Ailan Kastom.
Council is seeking a motivated Climate Resilience Project Officer to support the delivery of our Coastal Hazard Adaptation Strategy (CHAS). This role works closely with Senior Climate Resilience Officers to drive project coordination, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and help deliver community-focused resilience initiatives across the region.

Your work will help build awareness, preparedness, and long term resilience to coastal hazards affecting our region.
What We're Looking For:
We need someone who shares our values of One, Respect, Accountability, Courage, and Resilience. The ideal candidate will:
Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of CHAS projects and activities.
Assist with stakeholder engagement, including community groups, Councillors, and partner agencies.
Contribute technical input to resilience projects, inspections, and adaptation initiatives.
Help develop resources that build understanding of coastal risks and climate impacts.
Work collaboratively across Council to ensure consistent, effective climate resilience outcomes.
Why join us?
Contribute to meaningful, community focused climate adaptation work.
Be part of a supportive team committed to innovation, learning, and long term sustainability.
Work in a role where your efforts directly support safer and more resilient coastal communities.
