About the role

The role will proide support for the successful delivery of the Masig Seawall project. The role involves working closely with the Engineering Civil Crew undertaking hands on construction and maintenance tasks across designated worksites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support primary project of Masig Seawalls.
  • Undertake maintenance activities and new construction works within designated areas and tasks.
  • Support and participate as a member of TSIRC's Engineering Civil Crew on the Masig Seawalls Project, performing a range of services to support construction, working under the Civil Crew Supervisor.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime to meet the requrements for construction works.
  • Regular travel may be required.

What We're Looking For

We need someone who shares our values of One, Respect, Accountability, Courage, and Resilience. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in civil construction would be highly regarded but not essential.
  • Must possess an unrestricted current "C" class, Type "Provisional" or higher Queensland Drivers license is essential. A LR (Light Rigid) Truck Licence.
  • Current licences to operate heavy machinery (e.g. Excavator, Grader, Roller, Skid Steer, Backhoe, Tip Truck) are highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of workplace health & safety practices and regulations.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including overtime if required.
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks in challenging outdoor environments.
  • Team focused attitude with the ability to take directions and work under supervisison.

This position does not include accommodation. Candidates must have their own accommodation arrangements on Masig.
